Feeling like the turkey that got stuffed? Now would be a good time to decide what you are going to do during the rest of the holidays to avoid putting on those extra pounds! For me, it requires a lot of will-power. Probably the same for most of us. But if I eat right the rest of the time between now and the next holiday, one day of excess eating will be a lot easier to overcome!
I have lost 40 pounds over the last few months, and I choose NOT to have to lose it again -- so I will be careful, though I will allow myself to indulge just a little. And the next day, I will find ways to work it off, or to eat fewer calories so that the weight will not STAY that I pick up over the holiday! It is a matter of choice, and I choose to control my weight!
In the meantime, I am eating healthier than I have in years, and it feels good! And losing weight has a lot of benefits! I am healthier, receive more compliments about how well I look, and have fewer weight-related health issues. I am still in the process of losing weight, but small goals are being met along the way, and I have more energy!
You don't HAVE to gain weight over the holidays -- simply choose NOT to, and make wise choices! A tiny piece of pie or cake will not kill you, but a LOT of tiny pieces will definitely set your diet back! So eat only a tiny bit of only the things that are WORTH the extra calories, and then make sure those calories are dealth with quickly by exercise or limiting the next day's calorie intake.
